April 2022 "Gearing Up" Jag Blast

Message from Principal:

Dear MAE Families,

I am looking forward to a wonderful spring here at MAE! Hopefully the weather will be nice so that our students can enjoy lots of outdoor time at school and at home. We have some exciting events this month including K registration and Arts on the Avenue. I want to give a special shout out to all of the volunteers that help with events like these. We will host a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on April 20. I hope to see all of our wonderful volunteers there, so I can give you an in-person thank you as well.

Even though the end of our school year is near, please remember that the instruction we do in the 4th 9 weeks is critical for our students’ continued success. Let’s give 100% until the very end of this school year. Continue checking folders each night. Please continue to read and complete any homework assignments as well. Keep checkouts and absences to a minimum. Also, please do your best to get your student here before 7:30 each morning. We start each day with Number Corner in all of our classrooms. This fun and engaging school-wide routine focuses on students’ number sense. We need all of our students and the staff members working the car rider lines in class ready to start this at 7:30 am.

Thank you for all of your support in these areas. I know this time of year is a busy one at home and at school. As always, please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Melissa Philley, Principal
