October 2021 "Moving Right Along" Jag Blast
Message from Principal:
Dear MAE Families,
We are looking forward to an exciting October here at MAE! We are thrilled that we are now in a position to open our building to some visitors. Because our priority is to keep the students, faculty, and community safe, we will proceed slowly and cautiously with this. One of our first big steps toward opening our doors is allowing visitors for lunch on a scheduled basis. Please see our guidelines and the schedule for your class in the newsletter below. We are so looking forward to having our parents back in the building, while still providing a safe environment for all.
Parents, please be sure to check your child's folder for their report card on Thursday, October 14. Now that our 1st 9 weeks of instruction is over, your teacher will be reaching out to you to set up a conference. These early years of instruction are vital for future success. We must work together now to ensure that each of our students are able to meet their potential.
I want to thank you for your continued support and for making learning a priority. As always, please reach out to us with ideas, questions, or concerns.
All Aboard! Choo Choo! We have so many more exciting stops along the way!
Sincerely,
Melissa Philley, Principal

HOLD THE BREAKS! GUIDELINES FOR LUNCH VISITORS -
EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13th! WOO! HOO!
1. ONE parent may eat with the student per visit
2. Visitors for lunch are only allowed on their assigned day. The assigned day is also the day that class is on the schedule for the outdoor eating area. This means unless there is bad weather, the parent and child will be eating outside with the rest of the class. We will have some extra tables set up inside the café. If there is bad weather, the parent and child will move to that inside area to eat.
3. Your child’s birthday probably won’t fall on the one day you are assigned each week. While you won’t be able to eat with them, you can still send a treat for the class. Please let your child’s teacher know in advance if you plan to send a treat. See schedule below:
4. Please keep a distance of 3 feet from the other students and parents in the cafeteria.
5. An adult lunch is $3.75. If you would like to purchase a meal from us, please call ahead. This will ensure we cook enough meals for that day.
6. Please be sure to ring the bell, come to the front office, and sign in for each visit. Please be sure to return to the office to sign out before you leave the café or outdoor eating area. At this time, visitors will not be allowed down in classrooms after lunch.
7. Feel free to call us in advance with any questions about our lunch guidelines.
