Greetings Families of MAE,
The month of March brings with its arrival a sense of renewal by way of warmer weather, sunny days, and rest during Spring Break. I sincerely hope that each family took the time to enjoy each other and do what makes you happiest during Spring break. As I reflect on the growth of our students this year, I'm reminded of the way flowers grow, bloom, and change over time. We plant seeds, water them, nourish them, and with the proper attention and care, watch them grow. We have seen so many of our students blooming in different ways since the fall semester. Report cards for the 3rd 9 Weeks will be sent home on Thursday, March 19th. Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerning your child's progress. We are also busy preparing for our annual "Arts on the Avenue" event on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.. We hope you and your family will participate in this joint event with Avenue Upper!
Please continue to send your child to school each day for high quality instructional experiences. These final months of school are critical for students' continued growth and progress. Remind students that expectations for positive behavior are raised after Spring Break, and we want as many students as possible to participate in the final Kingdom Celebration of the year. As always, we appreciate the support of parents, your involvement, and your support of our school. Your positive contributions are always welcome by way of your presence, volunteer efforts at school events, and your encouraging words to our teachers and staff who work diligently for the success of our school each day. Arts on the Avenue!
Thursday, April 9th
This community event, a partnership between MAE and MAUE, celebrates visual and performing arts through displays of student artwork, student music performances, and demonstrations from local artists. The halls are lined with student art, and music performances feature second-grade recorders, lower and upper strings, and the fifth-grade choir. Local artist demonstrations will include a ceramicist, a stained glass artist, an author/illustrator, and a quilting artist. This year, J.S. Iupe's, Mossie Made, and Emma Grace Creates will be on campus, along with food trucks for dinner and dessert. Chalk art, bubbles, face painting, and other creative family fun activities will be available.

In this post the school update sounds cheerful and full of student spirit, which makes community posts nice to read. During a very busy term, I used do my assignment for me once so I could join activities and still stay on track with deadlines.
