Message From the Principal:
Hello MAE Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year on the Avenue, where we are ready to sprout, grow, and bloom! As we enter our second full week of this school year, I want to thank you for joining us in cultivating a successful back-to-school experience for everyone. The school has come alive not only with beautiful plants and flowers, but also with hundreds of smiling faces and happy giggles.
Please plan to join us next week for Parent Orientation. Kindergarten parents and teachers will meet on Monday, August 17th at 5:30 p.m. First and Second grade parents and teachers will meet on Tuesday, August 18th at 5:30 p.m. Both nights parents will begin in the gym and then be dismissed to individual classrooms. This is a night to have your questions answered about school and classroom expectations and procedures. I would ask that you join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to connect with our school community. The PTO supports our school with school improvement projects, classroom needs, teacher lunches, student incentives, professional development, special events, and so much more. It is a great way to get connected with other parents and families while making a positive impact at MAE.
As part of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), each student and staff member is assigned a Kingdom color. This system of earning points for your Kingdom is a way to encourage positive behavior by being respectful, responsible, safe, and fair. Your student is encouraged to wear his or her Kingdom color every Monday and on Kingdom meeting days which are the first Monday or Tuesday of each month. You have an opportunity to purchase a Kingdom t-shirt through the link below until August 26th at 8:00 a.m. The funds raised from the t-shirt sales will provide supplies for our Kingdom Celebrations at the end of each nine weeks.

PTO MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Don't forget to sign up for your PTO membership!! The PTO helps meet the needs of students, teacher, and administrators by raising funds and connecting parents to volunteer opportunities at the school! The PTO coordinates the book fair, designs the yearbook, fundraises, and provides newsletter with important updates to help parents stay informed of school events. The funds raised fully support the STEAM Lab, playground updates, monthly teacher and staff appreciation meals and activities, and much, much more!

The next PTO meeting is at 5:30PM on September 1st via Zoom.
MAE's Night in the Jungle will be September 11th. Look for more information coming home, along with a ticket for your child to enter the game free. Get ready to cheer on the Jags!!
FALL FUNDRAISER
Calling All Library Helpers!
We’re looking for a few wonderful volunteers to help keep our Madison Avenue library organized and welcoming! Volunteers will help shelve books, tidy our shelves, and keep our little library running smoothly. No library experience is needed—just a love of books and a willingness to help! Your time will help our students find their next great adventure, one book at a time. Many hands make light work, and every volunteer helps our library grow!
