Hello, Parents!

It is hard to believe that May is already here. We have had a wonderful year, and we are going to do all we can to make this last month a special one for our students! Thank you for ensuring your child has a good day at school by checking your child's folder each night, keeping an appropriate bedtime at home, and arriving on time. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's performance or about any of our school events in May, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

This last month of school is sure to fly by, and I will treasure each day with our students. This is especially true for our 2nd graders. Please know that your child and your family will always be a part of the MAE family...once an MAE Jag, always an MAE Jag!

We raised nearly $2,000 for monetary gifts to all teachers and staff, including Café workers. The amazing support and care from our parents is why we do what we do. What would we do without Nurse Lizzie to help take care of our kiddos during their most crucial times? From boo-boos to upset stomachs, she has been there for 'em EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Students can honor our wonderful nurse with any special cards, well wishes or gifts of appreciation.

DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MAY 13TH!

REMINDER: Please return your completed registration form and a recent utility bill copy to school by FRIDAY, MAY 13TH! MAE will collect these forms for all grades and submit to Upper for the rising 3rd graders.

NOTE: Registration for NEW to MAE 1st or 2nd graders will begin June 6.

We are getting close to the finish line, and the last A/R cut-off is soon approaching. Let's make these last two weeks count! Kiddos have until the 18th to meet their reading goals. Those who meet their goals will participate in the last and final A/R CELEBRATION of the school YEAR on MAY 20th!

It's going to be SO. MUCH. FUN!!!

You'll soon receive detailed information from your class teacher on this exciting finale of the year. Until then, please NOTE: This is an OUTDOOR EVENT. ALL children should have a water bottle and wear tennis shoes and sun screen - even a hat if you wish.

Also, in order to make this a fun day our kiddos will not forget, we need LOTS of help from you!!! Parents: Please click on your child's grade to SIGN-UP to help run a game station: Kindergarten / 1st Grade / 2nd Grade. You are also welcome to attend as spectators.

Only a few weeks left and ONE more A/R Celebration to go! With the cut-off being May 18th and our kids scrambling to meet their reading goals, Ms. Bracy will need LOADS of help to get those books back on the shelves! Just 20-30 minutes CAN make a difference! Note: NEW added hours during last week!

2022-2023 PTO CHAIR POSITIONS!

We are still looking to fill these 2022-2023 PTO Chair positions:

Membership (Board position) - Maintain PTO membership roster. Plan and coordinate membership drive(s), Back to School Night involvement and Back to School Parent Social.
Class Programs Chair - Assist Mr. Hawkins with program/play decorations and other music events. Coordinate with MC video department to film programs.
Event Decorations Chair - Plan, coordinate and implement decorations for Back to School, Christmas, Read Across America Day and Kindergarten Registration.
Newsletter Chair - Work with PTO Board and Chairs regarding content, and use our digital program, to create the monthly e-newsletter for distribution to all PTO members.
Social Media/Marketing Chair - Create social media content, schedule posts, and other marketing ideas and content as needed
