MAE Jag Blast, December 2022

Message from the Principal:

Happy Holidays, MAE!

We have so many wonderful festivities planned for December including our rewards from our successful Cheese straw sale, the Holidays around the World unit, our 1st grade performance, the AR reward event for 1st and 2nd graders, Breakfast with Santa and our Holiday class parties. It is going to be a fun season, and we plan to use the excitement of the holidays to motivate and excite students about learning.

Our 2nd 9 weeks of instruction concludes when we dismiss on December 16th, so learning and instruction are still both a focus this month. Please arrive on time each day, ensure your child is prepared and has had a good night’s sleep, and continue to read and complete practice assignments at home.

Our Holiday break begins at 11:30 on Friday, December 16. I want to wish everyone a joyous holiday season and a safe break from school. Classes will resume on Thursday, January 5. Report cards will be sent home to following week on Thursday, January 12.

Ahoy, Mateys!

Look at all we've spied at MAE in the next few weeks!

December 9th--First grade Holiday Performances. First grade teachers sent home the times for their classes' performances. Doors will open to parents 15 minutes prior to the performance times.
December 10th--Breakfast with Santa from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the gym

December 15th--AR event for the 2nd 9 weeks (The cut-off for earning AR points is December 13th.)
December 16th--Pajama Day for all Students
December 16th--Holiday Parties from 9:30-10:30 (A parent/guardian may attend if they like, but we do not have space in the class rooms for siblings, extra familiy members, etc.)
December 16th--Early Dismissal with car riders/walkers starting at 11:25 and buses following at 11:30. (Early check-outs will need to be made by 10:30 on that day.)
